FINALLY! ldns is now working on Windows. More polish would be good, but it is working. Ultimately the changes weren’t too tough. Had to find replacements for a couple of functions (gettimeofday and getopts) and add a function for creating the resolver based on entries from the registry rather than /etc/resolv.conf.I’ll try to get it posted up soon after some more tweaking, but if anyone is interested in the code now, let me know and I’ll shoot you a copy.

Congratulations, Eddie! This is great news and will be very helpful for many developers, myself included. I’m definitely interested in your modifications, although if you want to take a couple days to clean things up I understand. I’m happy to lend a hand testing and giving you feedback. Feel free to email me (you should have my email address, it’s the one I used to register here) about this. In the meantime, I’ve got about a day’s work left on my Linux code (using LDNS), and it sure is good to know that I will get more use out of it on the Windows build for my project thanks to your efforts.
Thanks for keeping us all updated on your progress; I look forward to the outcome.

Eddie,
Any updates on your XPCOM / LDNS project? I’d be interested in a copy of your Visual Studio compatible LDNS code. It’s okay if you haven’t cleaned it up, I will just be experimenting with it for now. I suppose the easiest way to get it too me is just to email it to me in a zip, although whatever you want to do works for me.
Thanks,
-Kevin
